The oil is developed for the requirements of the new EURO 4 engines. The major car designers invented the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in order to combat the emission limits of gas engines. This groundbreaking technology has led to the development and production of low SAPS (Sulphur, Carbon and Sulphur) oils that minimise carbon build-up and prevent filter fouling. These engine oils have the ability to extend the life of catalytic converters in gasoline engines.
